On March 31, during a routine flight over the Crimean Peninsula, contact was lost with an An-26 military transport aircraft, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, as reported by TASS.
The incident occurred around 6:00 PM Moscow time. The Defense Ministry emphasized that there was no fire or other damaging impact on the aircraft.
Search and rescue teams have already been dispatched to the presumed site of the incident. Information about the fate of the flight crew and passengers on board is currently unavailable, according to the military statement.
