Russian Security Services Acting Within Duties Amid Moscow Internet Disruptions, Peskov Says

Temporary disruptions in mobile internet service in central Moscow are linked to actions by special services aimed at preventing potential threats, according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, responding to a question from Life journalist Aleksandr Yunashov.

Peskov stated that relevant agencies are acting within their authority and independently decide on necessary security measures, including possible communication restrictions.

He emphasized that assessing the nature and level of current threats falls solely within the competence of special services, which determine what preventive steps need to be taken at any given moment.

The comment came amid reports of temporary mobile internet outages in the center of the Russian capital, raising questions among residents and users.
