Russia will continue efforts to reduce administrative barriers for businesses, primarily through the use of electronic services, President Vladimir Putin announced at the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) congress.

"To boost investments and expand the scope of business initiatives, we will continue to reduce costs for enterprises and organizations, eliminate administrative barriers, including through the use of electronic services," Putin was quoted as saying by TASS.

Putin noted that over the past five years, more than 400 licenses and permits have been optimized and digitized. He highlighted that not only have the procedures become simpler and more convenient, but their average processing time has also been reduced by more than half.
