Global oil prices are surging sharply, with benchmark Brent crude oil futures on the Intercontinental Exchange in London exceeding $110 per barrel. This level has not been seen since March 2025.
According to exchange data, by 7:10 PM GMT (23:10 Moscow time), the price of May futures reached $110.26 per barrel, showing a session increase of more than 6.5%.
Just minutes later, the momentum intensified: by 7:15 PM GMT (23:15 Moscow time), prices continued to climb, reaching $110.71, with the daily gain approaching 7%.
The sharp price spike is linked to escalating tensions in commodity markets due to the military operation launched by the US and Israel against Iran.
