The Coca-Cola Company has extended its exclusive rights to the Coke and Coca-Cola trademarks in Russia for another decade, according to updated records from the Russian patent office, TASS reports.
The original applications for these trademarks were filed from the United States on March 13, 1996, and officially registered on August 18, 1998. The updated records now show that the trademarks are valid until March 2036.
The registration covers several classes of the International Classification of Goods and Services, including furniture and decorative items, as well as floor coverings such as carpets, mats, and linoleum.
Despite announcing a suspension of operations in Russia in March 2022, Coca-Cola beverages continue to be available on the market through parallel imports from other countries.
