### Russia Expands E-Visa Accessibility: Kyzyl Airport Joins Network
Russia has expanded the list of border crossing points where foreign nationals can enter the country using a unified electronic visa. The air border crossing point at Kyzyl Airport, the capital of the Republic of Tuva, has been added to the system.
This means that Kyzyl Airport has become the 107th border crossing point in Russia where the unified electronic visa can be used. The decision aims to simplify entry for foreign citizens and boost the tourism and business potential of Russian regions.
The electronic visa system has been in operation since summer 2023, allowing foreigners to visit Russia for tourism, business, humanitarian, and guest purposes.
The visa application process is carried out through a special section on the official website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). Applicants do not need invitations, hotel booking confirmations, or other documents proving the purpose of their trip. The processing time for an electronic visa does not exceed four days, and visas are issued free of charge for children under six years old.
Expanding the network of border crossings that accept electronic visas is intended to increase accessibility to Russian regions for foreign visitors and facilitate cross-border travel.
