Ex-Chairman of FC Lokomotiv Board of Directors Lipatov Becomes Suspect in Contract Killings Case

Former chairman of the board of directors of the football club "Locomotiv", chairman of the board of directors of "TransTeleCom" and co-owner of Mezhtrastbank, Sergey Lipatov, is involved in a criminal case concerning contract killings. This information was reported by TASS, citing court documents.

The case in question involves the murder of Alexander Fominov, director of the law firm "Inyurkonsalt" and advisor to the head of the Ministry of Railways. Other defendants in the same case are billionaire Valery Tsimbaev and a certain Oleg Ramazanov.

"The court has granted the request of the preliminary investigation bodies regarding the defendants in this criminal case, namely Lipatov S.V., Ramazanov O.D., and Tsimbaev V.M.," TASS quotes the document.

It is alleged that Sergey Lipatov paid for the murder of Fominov.

In addition, Valery Tsimbaev is suspected of attempting to murder former advisor to the chairman of the Moscow Audit Chamber, Alexander Revzin, in 2003. The investigation considers Oleg Ramazanov to be the organizer of this crime.

According to the Moscow court, one of the defendants, Ramazanov, was sent to a detention center in November 2024, while Lipatov and Tsimbaev were arrested in April 2025.
