Putin signed a law on the creation of a register of freight road carriers

Starting March 1, 2027, Russia will implement a register of freight road carriers. The corresponding law, signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, has been published on the legal information website.

The register will be maintained on the basis of the national digital transport and logistics platform "GosLog". According to the document, legal entities or individual entrepreneurs will be able to engage in cargo transportation by road vehicles, including the use of trailers or semi-trailers, only after registering the relevant notification in the register. In case of exclusion from the register, this right will be lost.

This requirement will apply to trucks with a maximum mass exceeding 3.5 tons. In case of transporting goods for own needs, it will not be necessary to enter information into the register.
