Putin signed a law allowing age verification for tobacco and alcohol purchases via MAX

Russians will be able to verify their age through the Max platform when purchasing tobacco, alcohol, or energy drinks. The corresponding law was signed by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The document was published on the website of legal information. In addition, age verification using Max will be possible when purchasing information products, hazardous gas-containing household goods, participating in lotteries, as well as attending entertainment events.
