The Federation Council has adopted a law allowing wineries to be built on agricultural land.

Members of the Federation Council at a plenary session approved a law allowing the construction of facilities for wineries on agricultural land.

The law permits the construction, reconstruction, and use of capital and non-capital construction objects on agricultural lands if they are necessary for primary winemaking and related technological operations.

Dividing such a plot or allocating new ones from it will be prohibited, except in cases of land expropriation for state needs. The law will also prohibit the separate sale of real estate objects.

The document sets out norms and requirements for buildings to prevent misuse of land.

The law will come into force from the moment of its official publication.
