During a plenary session of the State Duma, deputies adopted in the second and third readings a bill that allows blocking websites selling tobacco and nicotine-containing products online, as well as hookahs and other devices for their consumption, without waiting for a court decision.
Such internet resources will be included in the registry of websites with information prohibited for distribution on the territory of the Russian Federation. Website owners will be required to monitor the appearance of offers for online sales of these products on their internet resources.
The amendments are scheduled to come into force on March 1, 2026.
