State Duma expands the list of regions with halved number of final exams for 9th graders to 12

The State Duma deputies have adopted a law that expands the list of regions where the final attestation for 9th grade graduates will be conducted under new rules. Those who plan to enter vocational education institutions will take only 2 exams instead of 4 - in Russian language and mathematics.

Now these conditions will apply in 12 regions of the Russian Federation. In addition to Moscow, St. Petersburg and Lipetsk region, the list includes: Moscow, Smolensk, Rostov, Tver, Murmansk, Tyumen regions, Tatarstan, Kamchatka Territory and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug.
