Five major domestic alcohol producers (Novabev Group, "KVK Group", Alkogolnaya Sibirskaya Group, GC "Rust", Ladoga Group) have informed retailers about an increase in prices for their products starting from January 1, 2026. This information was reported by "Kommersant" citing relevant letters.
It is expected that, starting from the new year, alcohol prices in retail stores may increase by an average of 10-17%, depending on the type of beverage.
Producers justified the need for price increases by the rise in excise tax (starting from 2026, excise tax on alcohol stronger than 18% will increase by 11.4%, reaching 824 rubles per 1 liter; for still and sparkling wines, it will increase by 31% and 28%, respectively), inflation, and the rise in borrowing costs. Additionally, starting from the new year, VAT will increase from 20% to 22%.
