At 17:00 on December 10th, a major fire broke out at the Right-Bank Market in Saint Petersburg. Witnesses reported that the fire ignited almost instantaneously, covering an area of approximately 300 square meters. Within 40 minutes, the fire spread to an area of 1,500 square meters.
According to preliminary information, two people were affected by the incident. A 52-year-old woman suffered carbon monoxide poisoning, while her male colleague had to jump from the second floor to escape the spreading smoke and flames. Their current condition is still being determined.

According to the Saint Petersburg branch of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, by 19:22, the firefighters had managed to contain the blaze. As a result of the fire, one man was injured and was hospitalized. A total of 100 people were evacuated from the dangerous area.
In the firefighting operation, 26 pieces of equipment and 96 firefighters are involved.
