The Russian government will additionally allocate 60 billion rubles for providing preferential loans to farmers, according to the press service of the cabinet.
The funding from the federal center will allow to support at least 48,000 loans previously issued to farmers for the production and processing of agricultural raw materials, the production of veterinary drugs, as well as the purchase of domestic equipment.
In total, for this year, about 190 billion rubles were provided in the federal budget for the program of preferential lending. With the additional allocation, the total amount increases to 250 billion rubles.
- We expect that the decision will contribute to strengthening the agro-industrial complex, - said Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
