From January to September 2025, the federal budget received 2.9 trillion rubles from corporate income tax, according to "Izvestia."
The income from this line increased by 82% year-on-year. Collections from other major taxes also increased: VAT by 23%, and personal income tax (PIT) by 87%.
These increases were due to: an increase in the corporate income tax rate (from 20% to 25%); the introduction of a corporate income tax for IT companies (at a rate of 5%); tightening control over business division schemes; increased tax collection, including from income received in the form of interest on state and municipal securities; wage growth (since the beginning of the year wages increased by 15%); and changes in the tax scale, which became five-tiered this year (ranging from 15% to 22% depending on annual earnings).
