A new branch of troops has been established in the Russian Armed Forces - the Unmanned Systems Troops. This was announced by Deputy Chief of these troops, Sergei Ishtuganov.

"The Unmanned Systems Troops have been created in the Russian Armed Forces. The structure of the new branch has been determined, the Chief of the Unmanned Systems Troops has been appointed, and military management bodies have been established at all levels. Regular regiments and other units have been formed," Izvestia newspaper quotes Ishtuganov as saying.

According to him, the combat operations of unmanned systems units will be carried out according to a unified plan and in coordination with other units of the troops groupings.
