### Large Self-Transfers via SBP Soon to Be Classified as Fraudulent
The transfer of large sums of money to oneself through the SBP (System for Fast Payments) will soon be equated with fraudulent activity. This is because such methods have become more frequently used by criminals, according to Vadim Uvarov, the Director of the Information Security Department of the Central Bank of Russia, as reported by RIA.
Uvarov explained that it is easier to steal money when it is concentrated in one account, especially if criminals have gained access to it.
> "Therefore, we plan to include large self-transfers via SBP in the updated list of fraudulent indicators," Uvarov clarified.
At the same time, banks will take into account transactions where, on the same day, a client transferred funds to another person who had not received any money from the client by transfer within the previous six months.
The Central Bank last expanded the list of fraudulent operation indicators (to six points) in the summer of 2024. Since then, scammers have developed new schemes and methods of deceit.
> "We have decided to supplement the existing criteria with new indicators. Some of them will be similar to those that have been in effect since September this year for combating fraudulent operations when withdrawing cash from ATMs," Uvarov added.
The Central Bank will soon publish an order with the new list of fraudulent operation indicators.
