During the past week, no new discharges of oil products from the sunken tankers "Volgoneft-212" and "Volgoneft-239" in the Kerch Strait were recorded on the coast of Anapa and Temryuk district. This was reported at the weekly meeting of the government commission for coordinating efforts to eliminate the consequences of the emergency situation. Experts reported that divers, during the inspection of the sunken fragments of the tankers, also did not detect any oil product leaks. In total, since the start of the cleanup operations, approximately 2,000 km of the coastline has been cleaned twice, where about 185,000 tons of contaminated sand and soil were collected and removed.
