In Russia, from January to October 2025, 1.197 million new passenger cars, light commercial vehicles, trucks, and buses were sold. According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, sales decreased by 22% year-on-year.
Since the beginning of the year, the market for new domestically produced vehicles has shrunk by 3%, reaching 657,600 units.
Sales of passenger cars amounted to 1.055 million (-20%), LCV vehicles - 86,700 (-23%), trucks - 46,400 (-56%), and buses - 9,600 (-42%).
In October, 183,400 new vehicles were sold in the country, which is 8% lower than in October 2024, 34% higher than in September 2025, and 81.7% higher than in June, when the lowest number of vehicles was sold since the beginning of the year.
It is known that since the beginning of the year, 10,400 new electric vehicles have been sold in Russia, with sales levels dropping by 38% over the year.
