Russian test sites can be used at any time if necessary. They are always kept in full readiness, Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu stated at a press conference on Friday.

According to Sergei Shoigu, nuclear tests have never been suspended for a single hour in any country. The Security Council Secretary clarified that this refers not to physical tests, but to tests conducted on mathematical models.

“Such tests require constant attention and improvement,” Shoigu concluded.
