The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) continues to work on upgrading the Yak-130M combat training aircraft to expand its combat capabilities. The first prototype has already been built and will be sent for ground testing in the near future. Two more sides are being assembled in parallel. This is reported by Rostec.

During the ground tests, experts will test new and improved systems, after which the flight will begin to prepare for the first flight.

The upgraded version of the Yak-130M will acquire the qualities of a combat aircraft, it will be equipped with air-to-air missiles and high-precision air-to-surface aviation weapons with satellite and laser guidance systems. The planes will retain their "flying desk" status, and fourth- and fifth-generation fighter pilots will continue to train on them.
