Over the past week, Russian oil shipments at Baltic Sea ports decreased from 28.79 million barrels to 22.26 million barrels. 29 tankers were involved in its transportation, whereas a week earlier 38 ships carried out transportation. This is reported by the Bloomberg news agency with reference to ship tracking data.

The reduction in sea shipments of Russian oil is attributed to the increased attacks by Ukrainian drones on the port infrastructure.

As of September 14, weekly sea shipments of Russian oil averaged 3.18 million barrels per day, which is 934 thousand barrels lower than the previous week. Experts call this the sharpest drop in shipments since July 2024.
