Sales of electric vehicles in Russia fell by 17% in August

According to the analytical agency Autostat, 1,082 new electric vehicles were sold in Russia in August 2025, which is 17% less than in the same period of 2024. After a minimum growth of 2% in July, recorded for the first time in 13 months, the segment returned to negative dynamics.

The Chinese brand Zeekr holds the market leadership with 275 vehicles sold. The second place is taken by Evolute (produced by Lipetsk) with an indicator of 149 units. The third position is occupied by Avatr - 117 units. Kaliningrad Amberauto ranks fourth with 90 units. BYD and Moskvich complete the top five with the same result - 88 units each.

From January to August 2025, 6,739 new electric vehicles were sold in Russia, which is 47% less than the same period in 2024.
