Production of alcoholic beverages in the Russian Federation decreased by 10.7%

Rosalokoltakcontrol has published statistics on alcohol production in Russia for the first eight months of 2025.

The total production of alcoholic beverages (excluding beer, cider and mead) decreased by 10.7% and amounted to 104.39 million decaliters. At the same time, the production of strong alcohol (more than 9% strength) fell by 5.6% to 67.13 million decaliters.

The production of vodka showed a significant decrease - minus 6.8% (to 45.1 million decaliters) and cognac - a drop of 18.5% (to 4.85 million decaliters). Low-alcohol products showed the most significant drop - 88%, reaching 1 million decaliters.

Positive dynamics were shown:

alcoholic beverages (+6.2%, up to 11.4 million decaliters);
liqueur wines (+1.9%, up to 841.5 thousand decalitres).

A significant drop was also recorded in production:

grape-containing beverages without alcohol (-72.7%, up to 50.4 thousand decaliters);
beverages with alcohol content (-63.2%, up to 14.1 thousand decaliters);
fruit alcoholic beverages (-80.9%, up to 997.5 thousand decaliters).
