Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin outlined the main tasks for the development of Russian shipbuilding. This was discussed at the Innoprom plenary session.

Among the priorities, he highlighted: the creation of a merchant fleet and facilities for the construction of large-tonnage ships; the development of production of gas tankers; building up a group of nuclear icebreakers necessary for year-round navigation along the Northern Sea Route.

In his speech, Mishustin also noted the development of cooperation within the country.

"At the moment, more than 30 domestic enterprises are already involved in the manufacture of about a hundred types of critically important marine equipment," he added.
