In St. Petersburg, law enforcement officers detained a girl who tried to commit a terrorist act. She planned to plant an explosive device under the car of an employee of a defense enterprise.

According to the Center for Public Relations of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, the girl was acting on instructions from the Ukrainian special services. Her goal was to obtain citizenship of one of the countries of the European Union.

In June 2024, the girl independently contacted a representative of the Ukrainian secret service through messengers. She expressed her willingness to participate in sabotage and terrorist activities.
