In two years, the projected cost of the MC-21 aircraft has increased by 65%

The production of the domestic MC-21 aircraft, which will replace its foreign counterparts in the Russian market, in particular Boeing and Airbus aircraft, will cost 7.6 billion rubles. This is reported by Izvestia with reference to a document from the Ministry of Transport.

At the same time, it is noted that in 2023, the State Transport and Leasing Company (GTLC) announced the projected cost of the aircraft at 4.3 billion rubles. Thus, to date, the cost of production has increased by 65%.
