Putin announced the start of mass production of the new Oreshnik missile system

During a meeting with graduates of military educational institutions, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin announced the start of mass production of the new Oreshnik missile system. He stressed that this complex, designed to hit targets at medium distances, has successfully proved itself in real combat conditions.

On November 21, 2024, Vladimir Putin announced the first use of Oreshnik medium-range missiles in non-nuclear equipment in response to the use of long-range weapons by Western countries against Russia. The target of the strike was the Yuzhmash plant, which is a key facility of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine.
