The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation proposed to the government to extend recycling to cars with engines with a capacity of 160 horsepower and above imported into the Russian Federation by individuals. This was reported by TASS with reference to the head of the ministry Anton Alikhanov.
According to Alikhanov, this measure will become an additional source of replenishment of the federal budget, the funds received can be used to support demand for cars. "This amounts to tens of billions of rubles - from 40 to 60 billion rubles," the minister announced the possible amount of additional budget revenues. He stressed that it is planned to extend the new requirement for recycling in the near future. Currently, preferential coefficients apply to individuals who independently import cars with an engine capacity of up to 3 liters into the Russian Federation for personal use.
