The total amount of financing for the new national project for the development of space activities in the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030 and for the future up to 2036, approved by Russian President Vladimir Putin, will amount to 7.2 trillion rubles. Thus, by 2030, it is planned to allocate 1.7 trillion rubles from budget funds, as well as 490.6 billion rubles from extra-budgetary sources, to the implementation of the national project. In the period up to 2036, the amount of financing will amount to 4.39 trillion rubles from the budget, as well as 686.4 billion rubles from extra-budgetary funds.

The national project has already been approved by the Council for Strategic Development under the President of the Russian Federation and signed by the head of state. It includes 8 federal projects.: Satellite communications and Earth Observation, Navigation and Time, Manned Space Exploration, Sovereign Competitive Access to Space, «Space Science», «Development of Russian Space Nuclear Energy», «Production and Technological System» and «Personnel for Space».

It is expected that by 2036, 1,118 Earth remote sensing spacecraft will be launched, the Amur LNG rocket complex with a medium-class launch vehicle powered by liquefied natural gas with a reusable first stage will be created, and the ground infrastructure of the cosmodromes will be reconstructed and completed.
