The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation plans to adjust the list of parallel imports

By the end of the summer, the Ministry of Industry and Trade plans to adjust the list of goods supplied to the Russian Federation through parallel imports. This is reported by Interfax with reference to the head of the department Anton Alikhanov.

According to him, a reduction in positions is possible in the fields of radio electronics, light industry and other industries where active import substitution is taking place.

Alikhanov stressed that the mechanism of "parallel import" has proven its effectiveness. Its monthly volume has consistently decreased. By now, it is at around $ 2 billion per month, whereas at its peak this amount was three times more - $ 6 billion (December 2023).

"This is closely related to the development of Russian production of necessary goods, as well as the supply of products made in friendly countries," Alikhanov said.
