In Russia, the share of illegal goods turnover decreased from 25.9% to 8.9% in five years (from 2018 to 2023). This is stated in the analytical report of the Higher School of Economics.

According to the authors of the report, the shift in the market structure occurred against the background of the launch of the digital product labeling system Honest Mark.

During this time, the share of illegal clothing and textiles in the market decreased by 30.6%, shoes - by 31.5%, tobacco products - by 56%, water- by 60%, perfumes - by 81.8%.

Over the past period, the federal budget has received an additional 1.2 trillion rubles in taxes.
