In May, the number of car loans fell by 43%

By the end of May, 74.79 thousand car loans were issued to Russians, which is 43% lower than the same period last year. This is reported by the United Credit Bureau.

The total volume of disbursements decreased over the year from 194.1 billion rubles to 97.28 billion rubles.

The average car loan amount was 1.3 million rubles (-11% YoY), the average loan term was 64 months (-2 months).

Since the beginning of 2025, banks have issued 377.49 thousand car loans worth 477.93 billion rubles. In annual terms, the decrease was 34% and 44%, respectively.
