The leadership of Gatchina State University is being investigated in the case of the legalization of migrants

At Gatchina State University, employees of the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs are conducting investigative actions as part of a criminal investigation into the organization of illegal migration. This is reported by the press service of the FSB in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region.

- University officials organized a criminal scheme by issuing study visas to citizens from the Middle East. For a fee, migrants were provided with student visas without real training, law enforcement officers say.

According to the investigation, more than a hundred migrants were legalized in this way. The vice-rector of the university was detained.
