In January-May 2025, Russian LNG supplies to the EU decreased to 9.45 billion cubic meters (-2.4% by 2024). In May, the volume amounted to 1.88 billion cubic meters, which corresponds to April, but is lower than May 2024 (1.92 billion cubic meters).> lt;p>gt;Shipments from the USA and Trinidad increased to 8.2 billion cubic meters. in May (+2.7% compared to April, +33% since the beginning of the year to 35.65 billion cubic meters).Shipments from Africa reached 9 billion cubic meters, from the Middle East - 5.9 billion cubic meters in the first five months.

Total LNG imports to the EU in May amounted to 13.1 billion cubic meters (-2% compared to April, +36% by May 2024). Since the beginning of the year, purchases have increased by 19% to 61.94 billion cubic meters.> Thus, despite the decrease in Russian supplies, the total volume of LNG imports to the EU is showing growth, especially noticeable in supplies from the United States.
