Russia may increase corn exports to Iran, Turkey, China and South Korea

Ilya Ilyushin, Head of the Federal Center for Agroexport, spoke about the prospects for increasing corn exports to Iran, Turkey, China and South Korea at the All-Russian Grain Forum. He noted that Russia retains the potential to increase supplies to these countries, especially to East Asian countries. This is important for farmers in the Far East, where there is practically no domestic grain market.

According to the results of last season, Russia took the first place in the export of barley. This season, the country continues to actively work in key markets such as Saudi Arabia, Iran, Libya and China.

Ilyushin also stressed that Russia has great potential for exporting leguminous crops. The total volume of imports of legumes exceeds 15 million tons, and the main importers are India, China, Bangladesh and Turkey.
