On May 25, 303 Russian servicemen were returned from the territory of Ukraine, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation informs.
The released servicemen have already arrived in the Republic of Belarus, from where they will be sent to Russia after providing the necessary medical care. The military was met by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Alexander Fomin. He said that the agreements reached in Istanbul regarding the exchange have been fully implemented.
In total, 880 Russian servicemen and 120 civilians were returned from Ukrainian captivity as a result of the exchange. The 1000-to-1000 exchange took place over three days, on May 23, 24, and 25.
