There is enough sugar in Russia. This year, the country, as well as the EAEU, will be fully provided with it, despite the death of some crops due to frosts. According to Bodin, a good sugar beet harvest is expected in Russia by the end of the year, which will be enough for both the domestic market and exports.

He stressed that 12% of sugar beet crops (on an area of more than 120 thousand hectares) were damaged by frosts. Crops in the Belgorod, Lipetsk and Kursk regions suffered the most. In this regard, farmers will have to replant part of the area. There is a reserve of seeds for this. Therefore, the current situation is not cause for concern.
