According to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), there may currently be between 1.5 and 2 thousand Russian tourists in Bangkok. However, the exact number is difficult to determine due to the large number of flights and the fact that most tourists do not stay in the capital, but go further to the resorts.

Due to the recent earthquake and the declared state of emergency in Bangkok, local authorities have given recommendations to tourists who are in the business part of the city with high-rise buildings. It is recommended to leave the buildings and not stay in the construction areas, as aftershocks are possible.

It is important to note that at the moment there is no information about victims among Russian tourists. In other tourist locations in Thailand - Phuket, Pattaya and the islands - the rest continues as normal, without any violations, ATOR reports.
