Oil supplies to Hungary from Russia have been suspended due to a strike by the Ukrainian armed forces on the Druzhba pipeline. This was announced by Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations Peter Szijjarto after a telephone conversation with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.
Szijjarto stressed that Hungary considers unacceptable attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on any infrastructure used for energy supplies from Russia to Europe.
