In the next six years, Russia intends to significantly reduce its dependence on imports of rare and rare-earth metals. As stated by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Anton Alikhanov at the Forum of Future Technologies, it is planned to reduce the share of imports from the current 75% to 45%.; At the same time, the country is striving to reach the production volume of such raw materials in the amount of 50 thousand tons.

These measures are aimed at strengthening the national industry and reducing dependence on foreign supplies of strategic materials.
