In the Rostov region, security forces detained Konstantin Rachalovsky, Deputy Governor and Minister of Agriculture and Food. This was reported by TASS with reference to law enforcement officers.

No other details are provided.

Some time ago, several high-ranking officials lost their positions in the government of the Rostov region. For example, a criminal case was opened against Vitaly Kushnarev on bribery and possession of weapons, and a criminal case was opened against Finance Minister Lilia Fedotova on abuse of authority.

Several other officials also resigned from their posts: first Deputy governor of the region Alexander Scriabin (became the new head of the Rostov administration), Minister of Housing and Communal Services Sergey Sizikov and Minister of Construction, Architecture and Territorial Development Yuri Silvestrov.
