The draft law is supposed to simplify the procedure for passing final exams for 9th graders who plan to continue their studies at colleges in working professions. 9th grade graduates will take only two compulsory exams (in Russian and mathematics), and not four, as it is now.

"The guys will have the opportunity to quickly get a sought-after specialty and get a job at regional enterprises. There are already agreements with employers about this," said Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Victoria Abramchenko.

At the first stage, the corresponding opportunity should appear in several regions. The participants of the pilot will be Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Rostov and Tyumen regions, and the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. Subsequently, other regions will be involved in the project.
