The bill on the extension of the parent capital until 2030 has been approved for the second reading

The State Duma Committee responsible for family, fatherhood, motherhood and childhood issues has proposed to the House of Parliament to approve a bill extending the maternity capital program until the end of 2030. This bill was submitted by the Government of the Russian Federation on December 19, 2024. Changes are planned to be made to the law on additional measures to support families with children.

As explained in the document, about 5 million Russian families will be able to receive maternity capital in the period from 2027 to 2030. According to preliminary calculations, the implementation of this bill will require additional budget expenditures in the amount of 2.776 trillion rubles in 2027-2030.
