Agricultural products turnover between Russia and India increased by 60% in 2024%

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev held a working meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Russian Federation Vinay Kumar, during which the possibilities of cooperation in the field of agriculture were discussed.

Patrushev noted that trade in agricultural products and foodstuffs between Russia and India is growing rapidly: last year, the turnover of the agro-industrial complex increased by more than 60%, and the country is interested in further developing mutual trade.

He added that Russia is ready to increase exports of vegetable oils, livestock and fish products, wheat and legumes to India. In addition, Russia has expressed interest in importing Indian agricultural products, including fruits and vegetables.

Possible additional areas for the development of bilateral cooperation were also discussed at the meeting.
