As of January 1, 2025, Russian banks had physical gold reserves of 38.1 tons, which is two times lower than in 2023, when a three-year low was recorded. Market participants noted that in 2024 the volume of transactions with factories and mining enterprises did not fall, however, the high key rate of the Central Bank affected the behavior of customers.
