The active tourist season is off to a low start. Tourists are already buying up Turkey for the May holidays, trying to get to the ski resorts and booking places in sanatoriums in several regions in advance. In order to be the first to make the best choice in the top locations, those who want to improve their health have to start almost a year in advance. At the same time, recreation in the super-popular Anapa is questionable, fuel oil stains have crept up to Crimea, the range of possibilities is slightly narrowing, but new players are entering the game. Resorts in the Azov region. They also have the sea, the sun and healing springs, but will they be able to compete with the already promoted locations?

An interview with the Guest of the room is devoted to the dialogue about new incentives for the development of the sanatorium industry. An expert on the topic is a professional doctor who is deeply immersed in the work of the industry. In a dialogue with Mikhail Danilov, Medical Director of the Association of Wellness Tourism and Corporate Health, we talk about the current state of the sanatorium industry and the prospects it has.

- What can we say today about the consequences of the fuel oil spill in Anapa for the sanatorium industry?

There is very little accurate data on the situation right now, and even fewer accurate scientific forecasts. I am referring to the data from an objective analysis of seawater, soil, estimates of maximum permissible concentrations, and bathing permits. From the dialogues with a wide range of the industry community that the Association supports, we see that colleagues working in Anapa are currently assessing the situation differently, and this is normal. And, of course, there are no accurate forecasts of how things will change under the influence of higher temperatures. Some believe that fuel oil will still surface, but, again, these are not scientific forecasts, but rather expectations and assumptions. Therefore, so far many assessments can be considered subjective.
