2.3 times more foreign tourists visited Russia in 2024 than a year earlier

According to the results of 2024, 1.57 million foreigners visited Russia for tourist purposes. The growth of the tourist flow in annual terms was 2.3 times. This is reported by the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) with reference to the data of the FSB Border Service.

lt;p>gt;611.5 thousand foreign citizens visited Russia during the same period. The growth of business tourists was 1% year on year.

Chinese tourists formed the basis of the foreign tourist flow in the Russian Federation. During the year, the tourist flow from China increased 4.2 times. This was explained by the relatively low base of 2023. Germany took the second place in terms of inbound tourist traffic (+21.2%), the UAE took the third place (+53.6%), Turkey took the fourth (+23.2%), Turkmenistan took the fifth (+65.3%).
