The operator of the Nord Stream company Nord Stream AG has received permission to work on the conservation of a damaged pipeline branch at the bottom of the Baltic Sea. The relevant permit was issued by the Danish Energy Agency.

It is noted that in order to preserve the damaged pipeline, specialists plan to install special plugs at the open ends of the pipes to prevent the release of gas or seawater into them. Conservation work is planned to be carried out in the period from April to the end of September this year, they will last about 2-3 weeks.

Earlier, Polish President Andrzej Duda called on the EU and no longer restore the Nord Streams due to the existing threats to the countries of Eastern Europe.
